As part of Admirals Green, a Travel Plan has been produced, which sets out strategies to increase the level of sustainable travel and minimise the impact of development traffic on other roads and the environment.

By promoting and monitoring travel taken by residents

The Travel Plan will aim to:
  • Support a range of sustainable transport alternatives to provide the residents with options for sustainable travel to and from the site.
  • Develop an awareness of the options for sustainable travel to and from the site and local area amongst residents.
  • Promote car sharing, walking, cycling and public transport as safe, efficient, affordable alternatives to private cars and highlight the health and environmental benefits of using sustainable travel modes.
  • Minimise the impact of car-based travel to the site on the local and strategic highway network and environment.
